Platform<ToolKit> for UNIX is comprised of three elements, as illustrated in the following figure. These components use the ANSI/ISO Standard C++ Library and Raw Platform API to provide a powerful set of basic system behavior.
Platform<ToolKit> for UNIX contains features currently available only on UNIX platforms, including complete support for UNIX processes, signals, and timers, plus all of the System V Interprocess Communication mechanisms. The remainder of this user guide describes each component in detail.
