Introduction to Standards<ToolKit>

Standards<ToolKit> is a portable, high-performance implementation of the most useful portions of the ANSI/ISO Standard C++ Library. The Standards<ToolKit> contains the following components of the Recursion Software C++ Component Series.

• Algorithms
• Allocators
• Function Objects

• Exceptions and Utilities

The Standards<ToolKit> components are cross-platform and behave the same regardless of the operating system in which they are executing. Programs utilizing Standards<ToolKit> features can be assured the code works with many of the popular platform/compiler combinations.

Cross-Platform ANSI/ISO Standard Components

• ANSI/ISO Standard Template Library (STL) -STL is a comprehensive set of efficient, flexible, and extensible data structures and generic algorithms.
• ANSI/ISO template string -The ANSI/ISO string supports both regular character strings and international wide-character strings.
• ANSI/ISO utility and exception classes -The ANSI/ISO Standard Exception Hierarchy, used for reported error conditions in the Standard C++ Library, in addition to utility classes such as auto_ptr , are cross-platform ANSI/ISO Standard Components.
